The week continues to be interesting – lots going on and much to be thankful for!
In the post I received a number of packages… very exciting! Two of them were
from our loyal supporters – sending woolly hats to replenish our depleted stocks after 3,000+ were given out inside our Christmas parcels!
Woolly hats are always popular – even in summer months! It is helpful if those donating them enclosed their name and address so that we can write and thank them for their efforts! The anonymous donation did have a note inside, but no name or address! This is what it said:
Dear Pastor Drysdale,
Please find enclosed several woollen hats for those who take to the sea. They have been knitted with a very special ingredient… the love of Jesus…
My mother-in-law and I hope they will keep several heads cosy!
In Jesus our Messiah…
Sentiments very much in keeping with our aims to:
I have been busy getting quotes for redecorating the Centre – after 3 years being open every day, it needs freshening up. I also have been applying for grants to cover the costs! All time consuming stuff. Thankfully, my three volunteer ship visitors are doing plenty of ship visits!
Today I have a number of meetings, carpet company coming to give a quote and of course fitting in some ship visits with our new volunteer ship visitor!
