As I often say, life is never dull…
Friday was busy with the lovely Eleonora Modde from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers who had travelled up from London to look at some venues for an event they were planning in June.
This saw me visit the Norwood House Hotel and the Chester Hotel – both very beautiful venues.
Later that afternoon, I was conducting the wedding for the lovely Elaine and Bruce – at the Norwood House Hotel. I’ll post an official picture when I get it!
Saturday was a family day – beginning early taking the dog out for his morning walk for an hour, then going to the vets for his medication, followed by doing shopping at ASDA, then a visit to B&Q – 8 rolls of wallpaper and four tins of paint later – and you will have guessed what is coming up soon… More decorating!
In the afternoon I watched Byron whilst Anne rested, then did some cooking and in the evening Anne and I watched a crime series via Amazon Prime.
Sunday was of course Church day followed by lunch with our son, Neil and his wife Jessie, joining the family for a roast beef dinner.
We then had a 2 hour visit from CR Smith to give us a quote for a new front door – an arm and a leg! The price for a door with side panels and top glass panel was a mere £3899. That won’t be happening!
Out again for a walk with the dog for an hour and some pictures taken of some vessels departing to sea.
We then watched some more Amazon Prime and I have sent the newspapers to the vessels and an update to my blog before heading off to bed!
A new week awaits…
