When I set this website up I planned to update it at least once a week. On the whole I have managed to do that – sometimes I did a few posts in the week!
However, this has been a difficult month, lots going on at work and at home and I just have not had time to sit at my laptop and update things.
Suffice to say that my wife has been quite unwell and was in hospital for three days with viral meningitis. She is home and on supposed bed rest – not easy when you have a 13 year old boy with learning difficulties who never stops and cannot be left on his own!
Anyway, she is on the mend and will see the doctor later today.
Home redecoration continues – doing plastering… tidying the garden, cutting the grass, walking the dog twice a day for an hour and of course – my ministry at the port!
We have had several meetings as well as several coming up! The trustees met to discuss the annual returns for the Charity regulator and I am pleased to say that donations have continued to come in – even during these difficult times in the oil sector.
On Thursday we have an open day at the Seafarers Centre from 1000 to 2200 – do drop in and see what we get up to… the Lord Provost is visiting as are the Dean of Guild and a number of seafarers to chat to as well.
Anyway, I have lots to do post the trustees meeting – more paperwork.
Have a great day.
